They are pieces of aluminium that you put between the caliper's piston and back of brake pad to prevent squeal Close Kelv27, they're stainless steel I make and despatch these shims. There will be more shims available next week priced @£22 delivered within UK, drop me a PM. Karl

Will the Coupe ones you've designed Karlos fit a 406 Coupe? I have a mate with Brembos on his 406 Coupe and they squeal like a b bastard d! I pointed him in this direction on the assumption they are the same calipers?
Karl has confirmed they will fit. He'll be a happy chappy.

Mark,
Sorry I've been very busy with work and I've packed all shims purchased to date (including yours) and have not had a chance to post them.
They will be in the mornings post. Let me know when they arrive.

Mine used to squeal but since fitting red dot grooved and pads, no squealing at all. I'm sure its all down correct fitting and greasing.

Mine used to squeal but since fitting red dot grooved and pads, no squealing at all. I'm sure its all down correct fitting and greasing. Thats all ok until those red dot disc warp. From my experiance they will. Give them a few months....and keep your receipt. I got all my money back after two sets warped !! Good luck.

Having tried 2 types of disc and pad inc OE ones(no cure yet ) if shims are the way forward ? has anybody got any ? Were there any factory fitted ones ? I could get some made if enough people wanted them , a few sets would have to be made to get the price down.

I carried out a full re-furbish on my Brembos over the past few months when the Coupe was off the road for the winter, however the winter is well and truly back with a vengeance around here. I done a full seals kit and stripped the paint off and re painted Red with white decals. also new bleed nipples and fresh feeder pipes and also threw in some new flexi's aswell I also applied a set of my new Laser cut shims, having ran on the original hand cut version for over a year with very little squeal, only minimal when brake are very hot Anyway, the brakes are excellent as ever and zero trace of squeal at all at any speed and at any temperature. Extremely happy bunny and full confidence in my wee shim design Refurb and shims = zero squeal!
