Guess who's the post-fiend today then...

Just spoke to bird, she works at Co-Op Travel and she says she can't beat the £38(?) price for the ferry, at the moment anyway. So I'm guessing get that if you can, think I'll be booking tonight.

Edit - Yes, as per Pete's £38 : I used aferry.co.uk cost £38.00 rather than directly with Norfolkline who quoted £55 plus for the same crossings.

To eldinho,

I have to pay the final figure to the organisers in April next year but obviously I need a firm number before then.

Sooner the better, so that you get your place fixed by paying the deposit as numbers are limited.

To feeblebob,

Saturday will be fine, either bank transfer or cheque to the address shown.

OK, thanks Pete. I have got quite a lot on next year so just trying to figure out if I can make it and also afford it. I'm sure to be wanting lots of track time.

Should know in the next week or so.

Well I've paid my deposit. Not sure what car will be coming.... either the 20V NA or something else (still a coop). I'm quickly deciding on this...

Anyhow everyone seems to be mentioning the ferry, what about the Tunnel? I'm thinking I might look into that as you're guaranteed not to get sea sick then smile

Just can't help but think that sea sick+driving=bad idea laugh

The Port Of Dover is actually pretty much 5 miles away from me smile Makes a change to be closer to an event than the rest of Britain!

Not many good deals about on the tunnel at the moment,it's even worse if you have to get it because the ferries are not running.

Over 200€ last August one not so fine day after a 30 hour drive from Estepona near Gibraltar.

You don't need a fire extinguisher for driving in France (just take care about citroen & renault :D) , but high visualisation jaket and safety triangle are obligatory.
You must have a complet set of headlight too wink

Was thinking about the lights, is it not just the metal plate inside that filters the beam, could this be changed and then the beam adjusted to suit? Don't shoot me down if I'm wrong, I'm remembering from about 6 months ago when I started refurbing a spare pair.

Joe, are they actually physically different?

Not worth the hassle IMO. Last year i used electrical tape on the headlights, just to make it look like i had a sticker on - cheap and effective!

Indeed Matt, just put some electrical tape on and you will be fine. Try to avoid using your high beam too.

In the coupe.
There is a how to do on the forum somewhere to change the beam direction. But it is just not worth it.Stick tape on the headlights.
As we know coupe headlights are not that great,i drove around France for 6 months with uk lights and never got flashed once.

I take the Coupé to Europe every year and I confess that I have never fitted beam masks. I have never been flashed and have even got a Dutch mate to drive down a lane on the oposite side of the road to me at night. He said he could never tell my lights were RHD and then went on to say how poor the lights must be. I even have HIDs fitted!!
