If it helps I looked into prices when I had my car transported.

I got a rate of about £1 a mile (for each mile the car is on the transporter- not both ways) which worked out OK.

Trailer hire was about £55- then add petrol and finding a car with a tow bar and there wasn't much in it for the 150 miles my car had to come.

I think I found the transport co. on eBay but he was local to me.

Paul at Motormech has a chappie that he uses for moving cars - I've used him - very reliable and reasonable prices (50p/mile)

Go to www.shiply.com

it's like an auction site where you put in details of what you want moving and locations and hauliers bid to win your business.

Have used it before and it works.
