I own a steel grey coop and thinking about having the alloys repainted in gloss black but not sure, what is the consenses on this? good or bad?

I've got a steely mate, and just think black alloys would look terrible.

I'd suggest the Kayjay wheel selector but it appears to be non-functioning at the mo. It's HERE if you can get it to work

Had satin black 18's and they were cool indeed , if you dont have body kit , all these satin black sills and other bits and your black alloys make car loook different!I dont know about gloss or matt , can't comment on them.....

My last coupe was steel grey and it had anthacite wheels I will try and get a couple of pics up for you.
Looked very nice with the sills colour coded

Well , i do like samsite999 car it looks differnt ! Is your roof gloss , and alloys too?

My roof, B-pilers, wing mirrors, fuel cap, and wheels are all gloss. its a very much love it or very much hate it....there is no in-between

I was going to say black wheels would look ok, but after seeing the above photos, I think you should go for a look like Ians, make the car look very nice and I think suits it better than black would

black wheels goes with every color bar porto and silver imop, oh and ink black

graphite color looks very stealthy on these

I'd only say that black alloys can tend to make tyres look grey. That's my only reservation with black wheels, I think I'd forever applying tyre-shine products to get them looking darker than the wheel itself.

Well a mixed opinion then mmm think i will sleep on it, anyone know what a general cost is to have a set shot blasted and powder coated black? thanks for the advice. i am saving to have it resprayed in white (in and out) and building an abarth edition! maybe later next year

Black give a mean look but make your wheels look smaller. But must say that it looks good on a sprint blue coupe

I think black wheels ar too common now.

Go for LE coloured wheels, looks a little more classy IMO.

White/Silver or a very light silver for me. Makes the wheels look clean and bigger.

If it was me, I'd have a good picture of my car taken, and then photoshop various ideas on it. That way it'll give you a mich better idea of how it will come out.

Hi, finally bought a sprint blue 20vt last week, having been looking for about 5 years! Now looking for some wheels, I was going to post and ask what 18's would fit, and whether they are likely to scrub?

Also to say that wheel selector is a genius idea! Nice one Kayjey. Probably a silly question, but I'm guessing the wheels on the list are specifically selected as they all fit the coupe? I've been struggling to find many different styles with the weird PCD arrangement?
