What has happened to the gearstick? Are all 16v's that stubby, or has that handiwork included a hacksaw?

Good to see it's been tested prior to purchase.

I was told by the man i brought it off that it was his pride and joy and you can tell it has been really well looked after and had a service every single year!!!!

hahahahahahahahahaha...hahahahahahahaha

IS this the one that was on ebay for ages, 3.5k, I like his/her's style!

Edit,
Turned back to normal, remove spoiler, take of wheels and punt the normal one's back on. Put the badges back on the pillers.....It could make a very nice original 16v with low miles, If any of the description is to be beleved

I love how its described as 'beefy sounding' then towards the end of the advert it says:

"Exhaust part needs fitting"

Could explain the noise.

Well he's called Louise, so you're probably right.

It has recently (when it was 50407 miles) had a cambelt kit change including tentioners, pumps etc ,all valves were replaced and the gaskets replaced.

Indeed sir Neil, you are quite correct as always. That will be expecting a bottom end rebuild just about...........squeal...now

In all honestly, stick a set of OEM 16v wheels on her, replace the bootlid with a non washing board edition, give it a clean, rebuild the bottom end
And you have got your self a clean original 16v in quite possibly the best colour at (to be confirmed) very low mileage for the year

As to the price? I would not pay that for a chaved 16v, BUT there is mileage in saying these are getting rare and will one day, in a galaxy far far away be collectable. for the effort in taking this one back to OEM its possable some one may deam it worth wile......but at 3.5k that some one isnt going to be me

But if it's had some tacky gold glitter respray then it's never going to be have an OEM look without another respray.
