yeah i think it makes a lot of sense. i really wanted to stay in london and all meet up with matt and mike, but after been i just know i wouldn't be in any condition to drive come 4.30 - 5am next morning!!

Regarding the hotel,is there twin rooms avaliable.A mates coming along but not a double room please.

So to confirm £119 per room per night plus meals.

Correction: EURO 119 per room, including breakfast only, minimum of TWO nights.

I'd probably only be staying for the Saturday night so where does that leave me? In the van no doubt!

I have been having a little trouble with this so I called them again today to try and clear it up. the fellow I need to speak to was not there so we are still not 100% sure.

It appears that a single occupancy would pay a 19€ suplement for the two nights..... So a total of 119€. I will email them again to make sure of this.

I think that on an earlier page eldinho referenced L Eau Rouge , a campsite apparently within a long walk of the track. Barring me winning the lottery or finding an amazing alternative campsite I'll be staying here.

I'm happy to call L Eau Rouge (either in Jan or when they open if they are not a year round site) and see if there is scope for any discount for, say, 5 or 10 tents.

The standard prices per night for the most recent season appear to be:
Tent/caravan incl 1 car - €11
Adults - €3
Electric hook up - €3

That is an expensive quote Bob, have they refurbished it since last year?

I'm not prepared to camp, and i am willing to pay that money for a hotel, but i think that is a lot of money for a room in that hotel, because it wasn't fantastic if i'm honest. Food and bar and facilities was good but the rooms were a bit poor.

Not yet 100% sure we will use these guys as we also have a similar offer for a place that is a little closer to Spa.

I just wanted to let you all know what kind of prices we are getting back. As soon as we have seccured a deal with a Hotel I will post booking details.

As for Camping option. Close to this Hotel... I found THESE... not spoken with any of them yet though.

Hotel has changed owners, but I am not aware of any refurbishment.



Not wishing to slag off Belgian Hotels, but they can often be really poor when compared to similarly priced UK hotels If we look for cheaper Hotels then we move into really basic accomodation. The Racing Hotel in Franconchamps was cheap but it was like staying in some 1970's boarding house. We were lucky in that there was a bathroom with our room, many others had to que up for the shared shower and toilet facilities!

Ok.For me i will be camping at Eau rouge,if not there, anywhere ,as i will have my bed in the van.
I have the address of the place we stayed last year.As i said before it only has 5 double rooms,but was excellent and cheap,with a great breakfast but no evening meal.
That did not matter to us as we ate with everyone else on the Saturday night.I am happy to help in some way if needed.
I still think i my be able to camp at the Spa track.But its a question of toilets at night and in the morning.
Campsite is prefered.
