I have a 16v turbo running around 1.3 boost.

Does anyone know if it is worth while fitting iridium or platinum spark plugs? What are the advantages if any?

I would say Platinum. I believe if you go a grade cooler than standard (I cannot tell you what standard is) you should be fine. IIRC Iridium need changing more often as its a softer metal even if its cooler. If you go Iridium then you might be able to run more advance.

don't bother with spark plugs

there is not a better than other

the difference is in the ignition-coil-wire system

the plug is just only the candle on the cake ,if the above

is working good a good spark plug is what you need

but i open a thread yesterday and there is no answer ^_^ ...

Running cooler plugs is advantageous if you are running a higher boost and therefore generating more heat. The cooler plugs help dissipate that heat into the cylinder head.
