Let's not get in too much of a tizzy about this.
Bob is working hard to get the best solution for us all.

Let me know if you hear anything further about camping at the track. Would potentially be interested in this.

I'll be joining the camping fccukers at L'Eau Rouge: it looks fine, it's cheap, near to the track, and has some kind of cafe/bar too

just a reminder - if anyone needs a Hi-Viz vest let me know, i have an almost endless supply of orange ones. To all coming, remember these are a legal requirement (along with other stuff) on the continent. At Halfrauds they're about £4.50 or more I understand, so save a few quid.

For those who are going to camp then i have stayed at the Eua Rouge campsite during an F1 weekend and have to say the facilities are very good, it has a bar and lots of space and it's not that far a walk 20 mins maybe. It's actually the way we have to go with the van into the track as i can't get under the low bridge.
However i'm sure Bob will sort us out somehing good. It's a lot of business for one place not to want.

Dave, Not yet 100% sure we will use these guys as we also have a similar offer for a place that is a little closer to Spa. I just wanted to let you all know what kind of prices we are getting back. As soon as we have seccured a deal with a Hotel I will post booking details. As for Camping option. Close to this Hotel... I found THESE... not spoken with any of them yet though. Bob sorry the camping link given seems to point me to a googlemap for the usa?

You can rent a caravan there which will carry a max of 5 persons. Costs are 60 euro a night (so 12 pp if you go with four or 30 if you go with two) One car included, extra car is 3,50 a night and it doesnt include any food.

Actually renting a caravan isn't a bad idea. Means you can park outside, clean your car etc quite easily without looking odd doing it in a hotel car park

Caravan sounds good to me,at least will have a proper base then aswell.120 euro for both nights is good for me. Split between me and a buddy,60 euro's each for accomodation and safer keeping for personal items.
I think it is a great possibility.

I have just looked at the link that magooagain gave us. There is almost nothing shown in English, but if you switch to French you will get more details even though some pages are in Flemish. My Dutch/Flemish is almost non-existent, but it seems to me that there are only 4 caravans available to rent. Het bestand bestaat uit; 4 residentiele 5 persoonscaravans. Can somebody (Martijn? or Kayjay?) confirm what I believe it to mean please. It is not by the Eau Rouge corner of the circuit, rather it is on the stream which gives the corner its name. The site seems somewhat coy about saying how far it is from the circuit, other that it is within walking distance.

Actually renting a caravan isn't a bad idea. Means you can park outside, clean your car etc quite easily without looking odd doing it in a hotel car park Last year the car park was filled with mostly Fiat Coupés. It was not at all odd to see folks changing wheels taking out seats and all sorts of other coupé related tasks.
Gone Audi mad!

not to put a downer on this..And not that im negative. But should a mechanical failure occur does full AA warranty cover abroad. And also do they take the vehicle back to the UK or do they take it to the nearest garage. (just being prepared)

Standard AA cover does not apply abroad. You need to take out additional cover either from them or any one of a host of companies offering european breakdown cover.
AA Warranty Cover; read the policy and it will tell you exactly what is covered.
