recently i bought a damaged le it was ment to be a cat c found out it has not been recorded ...
i have repaired the car and stared to rub down the body for a nice and fresh paint job and getting a few le parts that was missing ..

on my way to work yesterday got pulled over in the work van and then getting told i have not got a driving licence i was laughing at the two cops thought they was joking about so i am taking it to court now to prove my case if i lose my 2 coupes will be going up for sale and my other to pride and joy to ..

So.... do you actually have a licence or not?

Either way, I hope you dont have to sell them.

i have been driving for the last 6 years now
that is why i am taking it to court i have been reading up on the net about this so many has had this done to them

Hi lenzoferrari....Did you actualy have a licence, as in the photo licence and paperwork....or is it a case that you sent off the licence but never got anything back?

I ask because if its the latter, I had the same issue some years ago, there was no room for negoteation, I had to retake my licence, complete theary and prattical

i moved house about a month ago or so sent it off to be change to my new address not recived nothing back ..

im not sure whats going on with yours to be fair mate, the only thing I can think of is you have picked up points and not known about them for some reason.
OR
I know my mate has a condition that his eyes are checked every few years because he is diebetec. If he doesent his licence will expire

My personal experiance with the dvla is they play hardball, know exceptions

I hope it doesnt go the way my issue did mate, that was a expensive few months

If you have a valid licence you have a valid licence. Suggest you check DVLA and find out how long they take to turn round address changes.

If however, you've spun them a line about sending it off to DVLA and you don't have one then you can assume the position.

Next time you end up talking to a policeman, don't laugh at them. They can make your life difficult - as you now know.

May have been better if you'd looked concerned and discussed it with them.

i have spoke to the dvla today they dont have any records on there system of me so i need to sort out my pass certhficate and send it of to them ....

so i have still got my paperwork so i have got a case ..

To be able to put your car in the projects section you need to ask Begbie for the necessary permissions.

While on the phone to my insurance company and the DVLA to get my replacement car a couple of months ago, the woman at the DVLA insisted for over 5 minutes that i didnt have a license, even though i was reading out my license number to her on the phone. Turns out she had a system malfunction, i was not happy, the woman from Admiral said that the DVLA were idiots and it happens quite often.

There was something on the telly about this a while ago( possibly Watchdog).
People sent in their licences to the DVLA and either;
got nothing back,with a denial of ever having records.
or
Got the licence back with catageries missing,for example a bloke lost his motorcycle category{but kept his car part) even though he had passed his bike test 15 years previously.
He even had his old bike instructor testify that he had passed.
The moral of the story is always take a copy of your licence before you send the original off to the DVLA.

i changed address ten years ago and sent my license off to the dvla to change the address.
anyway long story and nine years later i still hadn't had it back!!
i phoned the dvla and my license details where still on their records so they told me to fill out a form they sent me and attach my photo, about three days later I received my new licence and photo card.
