Has anyone got any experience with infant car seats in the coupe? I've got to find one that works or I'll have to get rid of the coupe...which would be a shame.
Is there any type that you have found to compatible or incompatible? Has anyone found a car-seat base that fits?
Most retailers don't even know what a Fiat coupe is of course.

from my experience lots of car seats work with the coupe, either in the front or the rear - certainly no need to get rid....

I have had both my boys in my car in both their car seats. No issues at all. From using their seats in different cars the only thing i have ever found to be an issue is the length of the seat belt. But that was only when they were really young and the seat was rear facing.
Have also used them both in front and back of the Coop

No issue other than little scuff marks from their shoes on the back of the seats. It's actually easier putting the kids into the child seat in the coupe than my new BMW. Just make sure you turn the passenger airbag off when using a rear facing seat in the front. Trust me you really need the coupe to reduce stress with a young family. I've been out in mine for a thrash when things get a bit tough at home (screaming kids...). Good luck!

Thanks all. I borrowed this seat to try and I just couldn't get it secure at all - I could flip it out of the belt with my little finger. I thought perhaps the angle of the back seats just didn't allow it. It's good to know that it CAN be done. I just need to try it with a few other seats I guess. PS: I did a few searches before but couldn't find that much. Tried again using Advanced Search. Better Sorry Stan.

that's good news, because my GF seems to think that you can't have a coop with baby seats in it. I'm sure she thinks its an excuse for me to have to change the car.
on the flip-side, do I really want little brats kicking the scuffing the re-trimmed leather seats or worst throwing up in it .. eugghh, does not bare worth thinking about.

Jon, No probs at all with kids in either front or back with the coop. I have a Maxi-Cosi.... Cabrio 1st stage, Priori 2nd stage and now a Silver Cross Navigator 3rd stage car seat. All fitted well. The last two were in either front or back, but you MUST turn off the passenger air bag if you have one. Which is more than we can do in our '07 plate S-Max! So well done Fiat for thinking of the family in a Coop! The only thing I found is that you might have to do is to remove the plastic button that holds the buckle up, to get realy good tension on the rear seats. Plus once they're in leave them in there no the easiest to get in and out but surely worth the effort to keep the coop? Oh and get yourself a good chiropractor just in case As for puke, spills and crumbs, get a cloth back seat for a few quid on Ebay/forum, save some weight and you wont care about marks in/on the upholstery, care free & FUN MPV motoring

but you MUST turn off the passenger air bag if you have one. That isn't an option on all coupes. On my 97 and 99 20VTs it wasn't possible to disadble the passenger airbag, but on my third 99 20VT is was possible Lucky me then Here's my set up:
