whow does you timimg this cams on the 20vt engine???
in the C&B catalog it sais that is with alfa romeo ts loking tools...

do the ends of the cams have slots? (the opposite end from the pulleys)

You certainly cannot use the standard 20VT locking tool as the inlet is advanced compared to that and I think the exhaust is also if I remember rightly. Part of the 'trick' of the cams is that the inlet is timed in earlier so that you do not make the car more laggy in the process.

The C&B cam alignment tool doesnt come with the cams.

you can make your own one up, it fits into the slots of the end of the cams at TDC.

i knowq a few places that fit the C&B's with the OE locking tools, but as john says it isnt correct.

With the correct C&B tool the inlet is advanced by about 30 degrees.
