Just wondered if anyone has managed to ever successfully recoat the centre console in same rubber finish as original. Whilst I've seen some pretty amazingly good colour coded upgrades included wicked post:

Thus if possible I'd prefer to stick to original finish (personal preference but don't want to take back to shiny black base or repaint in just matt black). I've seen some "soft feel paint" that looks almost identical as per:-
http://alsacorp.com/products/softtouch/softtouch.htmbut not sure if this is readily available in uk or if affordable. No idea how easily it would be to spray this sort of stuff. But certainly looks good on some of the cameras, blackberries etc. so must be possible (in theory). Ever hopeful.
