I'm sure someone will now this off by heart. So i want to know what are the size and length of the exhaust manifold studs and nuts please.

i think the studs are 2" long

and there a 13mm nut!!

but thats from memory, i will check when i get home!

IIRC the nuts are M8 x 1.25mm

I'm looking for overall length and the thread length either side please. Going to get some nice stainless one's made for the race car.

You can buy lots of studs off the shelf from quite a lot of places. There's a place down the road from me (Oxford Seals & Bearings and they do almost everything - quite cheap too).

i think i have a couple of studs at home that i can meassure for you!

Beware of useing stainless steel for structural bolt applications that the sizes were not designed for. It doesnt take dynamic stress in the same way as steel and may snap.

A forum topic about studs and no-one has made a joke about stan or JimO? I'm shocked and disappointed in equal measure.

Surely you must have sufficient spare engines lying around that you can remove one and measure it?

AFAIK they're M8 x 1.25 pitch on the thread. These would work link although not from there as dont even know if they're still trading...

Eper says M8 x 14 x 55 which I would assume means 14mm thread on the end goes into the head and 55mm on the other side.

I'm just being lazy Matt as you well know.

On looking at it Matt it's probably 14mm of thread on either side and 55mm long in total with a 1.25 pitch on an M8 nut.

I'll dig out one of the many engines i seem to have lying about and see for myself as you lot are hopeless!!

I'll let you know when i've ordered the special studs what they are.
