just got in from seeing my beloved coop being trailered away by the AA again!!!! this time they excelled themselves, i rang them just before 3pm and it only took a matter of 5hrs and numerous texts/phone calls to establish that my original request did in fact state a low-loader was required....

aaaanyway, it seems it's the fuel pump i had fitted today so (hopefully) it'll be taken to motormech monday to have my original one refitted....

ooooh happy days, i'm on first name terms with 50% of AA staff now, it's enough to drive you to the other AA.... rolleyes

just to add though, sailed through the mot beforehand with no issues, not even an advisory.... cool

Fitted a couple of these rolleyes You really don't need it though, the standard pump can fuel plenty especially with a direct battery feed.

I don't think you have one, easy to check. No problem to fix you up when you come down.

FFS, Thats not even funny, your fast running out of things to go wrong however! At this rate your going to have a new car soon laugh

You have come to far to let a little starter motor finish you, and hey, its not going to cost you more than £25 is it, Got to love that breakdown repair insurance!

yeah the aa insurance is gonna be a god send the way this is going. it's just the constant hassle it's causing - last night, when it wouldn't start, i was stranded at work for 2 hours until i could get a lift home.

i'm meant to tracking this car 1st may, and then do a long-ish trip to spa and back - at the moment i cant get to work and back let alone spa ffs... grr

Bloody hell mate, you're really not having any luck at all are you frown

As Sam says though, surely there can't be much else left to go wrong, don't let a starter motor get you down smile

Have a few pints and all will feel better yes

Seriously though sorry to hear about the latest hiccup, hope you manage to get it sorted painlessly and finally get the chance to enjoy your Coupé!

Yea, hang in there mate, your car, as Sam say's, soon will not have anything left to go wrong and will soon turn the corner, being reliable for the next 100K thumb

Anyway, think of it differently, I love getting new parts for my car smile (Don't think about the money though) lol

When my car was failing regularly, I consoled myself and my ever-suffering wife that once I'd replaced EVERYTHING, it would never break again.

If only it were true - the sad fact is that replacement bits are just as likely (if not more likley to fail than the original bits

Proccy - face it - its a permanently-cycling process of exhilaration, dismay, spend, pamper, thrash, break, spend, etc etc etc

Mine is standard fuel pump. Plenty of second hand starters kicking around if your wallet hasn't already self destructed. You will just have to fill your boot up with spare parts + will look lowered :-)

Who needs a specialist when normal garages don't mind working on my engine smile

Don't worry mate I have issues too, this particular injector light fault of mine I can't seem to rectify just yet which is driving me nuts!

You're not alone!

Looks like my fuel pump has packed up today. There must be something in the air! Thought it was the battery, plumped up £100 odd quid and it isn't ... still a nice new battery is now installed thumb

hope you sort it diddy, my paranoia is higher than my blood pressure now, which is soaring!!!

just been relieved of another £170 by motormech for a starter and fitting, not happy days for my wallet after the £100 for a battery yesterday that i didn't need - although having taken out breakdown repair cover with the aa i will be trying to recover it off them bar the £25 excess....little do they know what they've agreed to.... laugh
