Just found out a friend of mine is an ex drag racer/builder, one of these blokes you see in the pub and happily listen to his tales, taking them all with a pinch of salt.

Last night turned up with a stack of photos of the cars he's built/projects he's had over the years (1200bhp Ford Anglia anyone?)

Anyhoo, he's out of work at the minute so has plenty of time on his hands and said he's happily have a go at a stainless manifold if I could find him some designs.

I'm trying to find something on Evocorner but as of yet having no luck. Does anyone have anything that could be of some use, paterns? A manifold to copy?

Cheers
James

James, is this any good?

But in all honesty, it would be so much easier for him to have your car and get him to build it on the car, that way you know it will fit

Thanks for that mate.

The plan is to give him the car. He just wanted to see something to give him an idea of what was involved.

Marco - sorry, missed your question.

He said if he had a pattern he'd make anything, I'll ask him tonight if he'd be interested.

cheers for the link, will get them all printed out to leave with him.

I'm sure Joe (countrycruising) could lend me a cracked manifold if one was needed as he is just up the road.

If I get the turbo swapped tonight in time for last orders I'll see what he has got to say.

Because its designed and tested properly. Not just the 20VT its accross the whole range.

I don't think that overly expensive for a good quality manifold

Wow, expansion "cuts" between each cylinder, not just one (eg: between cylinder 4&5 on the 20vt)

I was just showing what Tig Art can and will do for anyone,if they have a design for any car that they want taken from paper and actually made into a manifold.

They also make a lovely race spec tubular stainless steel thick walled manifold for both 16vt and 20vt.

I found Tig Art very easy to deal with, they had my manifold fabriated and shipped from Israel to me in Ireland with in 10 days of sending the design off to them via email.

They also emailed me loads of pics of the fabrication stages and build process of the manifold from making the jig to final completion and coating of the manifold..

I didnt make it myself,I had Tig Art fabricate it for me from my design/measurements that I emailed them. wink

Tig Art have their own website and they make a tubular race manifold for the 16vt and the 20vt too.

20vt is a work of art and they do it with external wastegate setup too.
