Has anyone had any fitment issues with there downpipes.
H&S claim it fits in there jig yet it clashes with my sump and oil cooler pipes, i told them i would post the question here as i'm at a loose end they claim they will just chop and adjust where i say it clashes but i'm not happy with this as a solution.
So who's fitted like a glove ?

are you referring to the 5 stud DP? They all fit ok, a little tight and close to the oil cooler pipes but never touching. Again they are close to the sump due to the flexi being at that point which is wider, but never touches.

Yes the 5 stud dp The flexies now moved to the standard position. They changed things slightley. I even undone the oil cooler brackets to get an extra 5mm but no go. Its to far back to line up the 5 bolts. I told H&S i'd post the question as mine DOESN'T fit and there has been alot of wasted postage. Oh what to do?????????????

My 5 stud holes had to be drilled bigger as they were way out,and the plate on the sump has to be spaced quite a bit for it to fit!

More than £350 mate.
I'm trying to be diplomatic, but they are telling me it will fit, but it doesn't.

Got any pics of it so those of us that have one (including me) can compare? Sure, it sticks out further from the 5 stud flange and gets mighty close to the oil pipes, and heatshield hole for lambda sensor has to be opened up a lot. IIRC I had to space out the plate on the sump, but I don't think it touches the sump itself.
Is there any identification plate welded on it by any chance(not sure if there should be)?

If you read the first post mate it won't line up i can't get to dressing it if it won't bolt on. I compared it to another H&S pipe and the bend is a different shape which H&S are claiming isn't true(they have the pipe now). This post was more to see if anyone else has had fitting problems as H&S asked me to do it. Although i don't think they wanted me to include the welding comment Steve

How did you compare it to another pipe? If you still have access to the other pipe I guess you'll have to take it to H&S with your car and show them the problem (plus this thread stating no fitment problems).
What turbo do you have? Is it the standard manifold? What about the cat and rest of the system?

Sorry Dave read my post above again and if it came across me being an ass apologies.
They are going to make a few minor mods and we'll try again. I must say they may be expensive DPs but H&S customer service is top notch.

oh no.. mate i am really sorry..i originally sent them a blue flame downpipe so they could make sure it all fitted they were using the original 5 stud jig then making the cat end correct fit and position for the bluflame .. so it should be the same as mine..thinking about it though if they had the blu flame to work from they could not get it wrong ..without it they are using the standard jig without a physical reference ..i can only think there is an issue there or its just been made by the wrong guy on the wrong day in the wrong frame of mind! lets hope they sort it ..i am sure they will they seem pretty reasonable when i dealt with them..good luck

Oh wow i wish i could recomend H&S less....
They said they would rework it and smooth the area by the oil cooler pipes.
They hit it with a fucking hammer....and it still doesn't fucking fit.

Shocking that I'd send it back and tell them to make one that doesnt require whacking with a hammer.

All i know is i havent been impressed with the systems i have fitted to customers cars. Very unrefined.
Rob your system is okay, although its a little raw around the 5 stud. But the issue is that no one else does them.
There seems to be alot of demand for these 3'' downpipes. I looked at doing these in house but couldnt find anyone to supply the parts cheap enough to make it worth a group buy. The adaptors and flange reducers are wedge.
