if anything that is going to restrict flow and with no gains what so ever send it back to them and ring them up saying you want a 3" downpipe that fits and has a 3" bore all the way down like what you payed for. Ive been on a welding course now for 5 weeks and i could do a better job than that.

looking at another H&S system nigel thats the conclusion I came to.
"the angular bit of your pipe Just downstream of the weld and just ahead of the hammer dent) looks nothing like mine - my original H&S DP has much more of a smooth radius".
But they will not have it they say its identical.

Wow...following this thread has been a concern...ive had mine on order from H&S for about a month now, hopefully this is not a sign of what's in store for me...especially not for the asking price.

The ones i have fitted cant be put on flush and then the nuts after. You have to wind 2 nuts on first or they wont go on the threads. Then the rest after And you cant even get a 1/4 drive socket on.About 1/3 of a turn on a crows foot spanner at a time. Is this how they all are.?

So far i have only fitted the h&s pipes. You have to put the pipe up to the turbo with about an inch gap so the threads are just peeking through the holes. Then the top one and lower towards the back have to be wound on. Otherwise the angle of the pipe makes it impossible to put these on if its flush.
Its actually easier to drop the blower off with the pipe attached in situ.
I did speak to Paul at Motormech and he seemed a helpful chap so might be worth seeing in future if he can fabricate these. I was going to drop my LE off with him to get a 3'' system made but i managed to get a new blueflame very cheap.

Oh forgot to update this.
As i said perfect customer service.
Went down there they gave me a ramp and I stripped the old one off it lined the new one up and showed them the problem, They said i wouldn't be leaving without it being fixed and i didn't.
They sorted the dent out cut and rewelded the pipe and added a new cradle on their jig (already pretty good) so it won't happen again.
Apart from that i had to drive down there i'm happy and its all sorted.
