Got Pirelli P-Zeros but need to replace my rear tires with some new ones. My tire guy recommended the Ventus Primes, saying they would be a good match for my P-zeros.

I've seen some other Hankooks as well, some of you run the R-S2 and there are some other models around. Got good opinions regarding what to pick?

Also, shold I switch to 225s instead? In that case, should I switch to 45s or keep 50 profile. I've got the LE wheels by the way...

I have a Megane R26 and I run the Hankook V12 Evos on that, and they are great, very sticky in the dry and wet, never had cause to worry about them. Tyre wear seems pretty good so far too.

On the Megane forums, its the most popular tyre. Can't tell you if there are any good for a coop though!

Pirelli is premium brand
Hankook is budget brand , but quality budget like Falken , Maxxis etc
Hankook rs-2 is track day road legal tyre , so if you do 15-25000 miles per year it wont suit you.
Regarding profile - 45's make your ride a bit firmer and car will coner a little bit better.

Ok, it seems either the Ventus Primes (205/50R-16) or Ventus V12 evo (225/50R-16) are my best choices for good traction in wet AND dry since the S1 and the S2:s are more geared dry weather traction.

Any experiences regarding any of these on the QP? Or do you have better suggestions?

Rasken, don't buy 225/50-16 as I think they may catch the innerliners..

I think std 225/45-16 is better.

Alright! Got a set of Hankook Ventus Prime K105 225/45 R16:s and it´s a big difference over my old Pirelli P-Zero Assymetricos...

I can really understand why. One of the tires have been with the car since it was born!! Pretty incredible it lasted 75 000 miles shocked

The rest where from 2003 so not that fresh either... laugh
