I didn't think my 270 brake coop felt that fast, until I tried putting the standard chip in. Felt like a 1300 8 valve carb'd Ford Fiesta laugh It can be quite deceptive.

Coopless!

i had this problem, my car on dyno was reading 280bhp and i thought it still feels the same, i then changed my intercooler and hey presto 336 bhp and felt amazing.

i think the intercooler i had bought previously was cloud9 it was a pace front mount then bought a pro alloy and sorted everything out.

hope that helps.

Nick

What boost is the car running as minor boost leak etc would sound about right.

i didn't mean its the downpipe causing the issue but that the restrictive part of the exhaust is the downpipe

Standard downpipe is fine for 300bhp and most hybrid turbos apart from 0.62 trim. Spools up no problem and still flows pretty well.

On the matter of what it 'feels' like, my bird's TT sort of 'feels' quite quick but that's just the way it feeds the power in, I think Audi gave it a 6 speed box to keep it revving, low down, it doesn't have as much as my Coop. It isn't as quick as my Coop, at any stage. I do feel though that passengers might think it quicker, just down to the way the turbo comes in almost suddenly.

Best advice.

its claiming a re-build.

Any docs saying when/what was used/who did it?

a word of safety warning, get it checkout on a rolling road incause its not fueling correclty or there is a problem some where.

where abouts are you based?

A word of warning - not many companies will live map the Bosch ecu, and the last company to try mad a hash out of it by all accounts. Find out how much experience they have with it.
