Hi Guys, I've started a dedicated thread for the October 2nd meeting as the other thread is a follow on from an earlier Carlingford meeting. Anyways I’ve been asked whether it would be possible to move the location of the next meeting towards Dublin, as some have a long way to drive from. We have people coming from Monaghan, Down, Mayo, Meath and Dublin so far. I'm not sure where Tierney is from. City North Hotel could be an option. It's on the M1 about 10 mins north of Dublin Airport. It has a large carpark (where the ALMC Motor Show is held every year), a bar/restaurant and we could take the by-roads over to Balbriggan/Skerries direction for a spin or even to Ardgillan Castle & Demesne. Another option further south is Cherrywood Business and Tech. Park, Dublin 18, just off the M50 where there is a “Cars & Coffee” event on from 10.30am on the same day, Oct 2nd. I’ve never been to it and I haven’t a clue what kind of cars will be there, but it might me a possibility. There’s some chat about it on Pistonheads. You can also get an idea of the mix of cars at the last September meeting on pages 13/14 of this Octane Thread. Let me know your preferences....I’m open to other ideas too. So far (1)Carlingford, (2) City North, (3) Cars & Coffee Daithí

Why not pop over to the C&C in Cherrywood that morning?
I'm hoping to have mine back on the road by then.

Anyone got any wheels that'll fit a 20vt? I'm looking for winter snow tyre wheels so anything will do.

That’s a shame e30forlife. CHOD is a pain but relatively straightforward to sort out, though your mechanic will lose numerous layers of skin on his knuckles trying to squeeze his hands behind the block!! The job isn’t as complicated as the ‘How to’ guide suggests. You don’t have to remove as much stuff as indicated. The pipe itself is about €25 IIRC. Well it looks like we may have up to 8 coupés for Sunday, which is a record for the FCCUK in the republic. Does anybody have any specific suggestions for meeting up? Does anybody want to meet up nearby, get ourselves into a cavalcade and make a “parade” entrance into C&C? Or will we just turn up at the C&C in our own time? I don’t know this neck of the woods whatsever. I’ll be coming from the M1 onto the M50 at the airport, probably travelling with CollieD from Dundalk. Does anybody know this area and where we can easily meet up? Oh, also what time are we planning on meeting? C&C starts from 10.30am apparently. Does anybody know how long it goes on til? It's all new to me
