Great fun- thanks Paul for organisation and hard work. Always good to see the familiar faces along with new ones. I think I was the slowest coop driver so obviously I deserve a prize I tried my best but I think Porto coloured coops may not be cut out for tracking - either that or I'm a crap driver. Thanks Shaun(crazy legs), Steve(Proccy)and Sandy Tim for the passenger rides. Although I asked JBT twice(very nicely) for a ride he refused - because he was fighting for top spot. So JBT, you owe me. Sean
Enjoying Coop ownership, second time round . Also enjoying RWD action in a thundering V8 E90 M3.

Wow hope the car is ok mate? Yeah, she's fine. Ended up with a couple of scratches and two dents of which one has been repaired by the dent master Begbie

Cracking day! Good to see you all. Thanks for all my passenger rides, sean_c for the lift & 360 spin, Begbie for the shortcut detour, Senny Dave for the luxo barge drifting and deann for a sterling post crash lap. Hopefully next year I will have a car worthy of putting a good time Nobby

What a great day, thank you for arranging this, and continuing to welcome us ex-Coupe owners. The weather really added to the event, just a shame that once again it meant that Dave T, Jonny and myself didn't get our Sevens out on track at the same time (wimps ;)). The competition remained close through the day with the lighter rain periods producing the fastest times. Aside from one ten minute spell after lunch most of the best times were set in the morning. It's amazing that the best times of the day were shared between the most powerful Coupe, a near standard Coupe and a Caterham! I enjoyed the sideways moments and sharing them with a few passengers. The pleasant surprise was how good the Celica was! Far from being the understeering car I remembered at Combe last year it was remarkably tail happy, to the point that a number of you thought I must have been using the handbrake. A number of times I had to use full opposite lock and plenty of power to catch a big slide, wish I had some film of it now. The Celica was only two seconds slower than the Caterham in these conditions! I expect we all have thoughts of ...if only.... for me they were wishing I had experimented with wet lines sooner in the day and being braver in the that first corner. Maybe less time spent sideways might have helped too The standards of driving seemed excellent with various cornering and braking techniques being tried, including the handbrake Begbie? Couple of videos so far - Taking JBT out (wish I had the recording of him actually getting in the Caterham) - Here Last run of the day for me - Here Bye for now, cheers, Dave

Thanks Dave - I was under the shelter for all those photos - couldn't be bothered getting wet for any better angles... I've now recorded all the results. Very interesting to see how tight the times were (excluding the occasional excursion into the scenery... ) Last year, in the dry the times were quite varied (see my post about 2/3 down the page) However, this year, all drivers were far more consistent, suggesting that the limits were much easier to reach and far harder to exploit Best (or equal best) times highlighted

Not that it matters to me Nigel, but you've highlighted the wrong time for me as my fastest - which was faster than Crazylegs and the same as FattM who did a gazillion runs
