Last two days been disconnecting battery for well over an hour each time to work on the car, expecting to have to reset the ebc!
But, it has not dropped it setting!
Why the permanent live? Well maybe it's just mine?

I know this is an old thread but I was just wondering if you guys were happy with your HDI boost controllers in the long run? No problems? Thinking of getting one as they seem pretty decent for a hundred quid!

I installed mine a month ago, so can't offer much in the way of long term ownership. What I can say is it offers a much better driving experience on and especially off boost, compared to a PRV. The boost profile is very stable and it's easy to set up.

I don't hesitate to recommend one.

If you do decide to buy one make sure you run a direct power supply from the unit to the battery. I spliced into my power supply for my amp, as this has an inline fuse.

Just caught up on this post. I have an AC Delco EBV which was a big improvement, but think I may get one of these.

Is there a group buy still going and if not where can I get one from please?

UPDATED: is it this one? ebay boost controller

Don't buy that one! It won't work on the coupe.

Here's the one you need

Drop me a PM before you buy, I'll email my contact at HDI and see if they will still do them for £90 delivered.

Well fitted mine yesterday. All plumbed in fine albeit for a slight delay as my battery was flat after car had been sitting for a week. Very happy with it, quality of the fixings is all good, unit does exactly as it says on the tin and is very simple to use. Only thing I would say is the dials are very sensitive. A slight turn on them can increase boost quite a bit eg when at 12 o'clock I get 1.2Bar boost at 1 o'clock I get 1.35/1.4 but fine once set.

Managed to wire it into the ashtray. Ran the wires through the grommit that goes from the near side in the engine bay and comes out just next to the ECU. I have a nomad pillar pod on the offside so was easy to plumb straight into my boost gauge.

That's a tidy install. It's where I'd have liked mine on my previous car. I still have a spare control unit, I'll see about buying a solenoid separate and fitting it to the plus thumb

I'm planning on cutting up a CD case to fit around it to fill the gap and spraying it with plastidip to finish it off.

I fitted mine in there too. I removed the insert part and used Velcro to secure it. Not a bad idea with the cd case though it'd definitely look tidier.
