Hello Bart!
I don't know too much about the stilo block but I will try to help.
You can use the stilo block and plumb an oil way for the turbo. It will fit fine and I *think* you can use the coupe head.
But to be on the safe side, I would say use the the silo head and new vales to deal with te heat ect I.e sodium valves or better.
If you hit want 350bhp, then you may be better off staying with the 2L engine.
I know that all the 2.4 and 2.5L coupes use the stilo block so it's not a problem!!

pretty sure its not the stilo block that is used marco, is it not just the crank but custom rods and pistons but in the original 20vt block
the best person to speak to about these conversions is Barbz or John_S
give one of these guys a pm Bart, not sure if John_S is still on the forum so i would pm Barbz as he is the pioneer of these
good luck, be good to see another 2.4 and i did consider doing this conversion with the gt28rs turbo as i love low and mid range torque
cheers

Someone I know is using a stilo block. Don't you lot read Autoitalia Lots of alterations required to oil ways, brackets exhaust etc etc etc. Also the compression ratios are different as are the squish angle and volume. And that's not half the issues you'll face so unless your experienced or buy the platform from someone whose used this engine before then stick with the 2.0. John.s ran a 2.0 and mavric ran a 2.0 with a 2.4 crank with custom pistons and rods. Only people to use stilo engine is me and Barbz. That said Barbz has got some secret project in the pipeline so not sure if that involves a further transplant.

I am using a stilo block as well - the only advantage beyond the 2l-block is this 7mm more height. Therefore you can use longer, means stronger pistons. This becomes relevant from engine power about 600HP... Juergen

This becomes relevant from engine power about 600HP... Juergen Not necessarily. Strokers can never rev is well as short stroke engines, and some turbos need to be revved to make the power. Compare my car(2.0) to Barbz's(2.4). After 7000rpm his power starts to tail off where as mine goes right up to the 8250rpm limit and is still climbing. Totally depends what setup you're going for.

Compare my car(2.0) to Barbz's(2.4). After 7000rpm his power starts to tail off where as mine goes right up to the 8250rpm limit and is still climbing. Totally depends what setup you're going for. A big turbo will need more energy from the exhaust than a smaller unit. Therefore a bigger engine like 2,4l, which will deliver more exhaust in lower revs, will improve start up behaviour of these big turbos. A short stroker will need more speed to get the same amount of exhaust like the 2,4l. Moreover the 2,4l has better geometric characteristics - a longer lever - which will affect in a better response in lower revs as well. Disadvantage of a long-stroke 2,4l: at high revs your engine has not enough time to fill the big looong pots with enough air, any more. Now the cylinder charge becomes worse in direct comparison with a shorter 2l. Therefore it is very very important for a long strok engine to have a very efficient cylinder head - still more than for a short 2l. For example - the 16V Turbo engine has about the same stroke like the 2,4l engine - about 90mm. And there are a lot of 16V Turbo engines, which rev about 8000rpm or even more. 8250rpm with hydraulic valve lifters is an absurdity anyway. Do you have a mod to meachanical valve lift?! I modified my hydraulic valve lifters to get more revs out of it... we will see, what they can do - with 2,4l. Back to the pistons - the 2,4l pistons become very short in a 2l block - therefore they won't do the torque which is needed to get >600HP. Thus you will need 560NM to get 600HP with 7500rpm... Very very much, maybe too much for a short 2,4l piston for 2l block. The additional 7mm from the higher Stilo block may help here to get a stronger piston design! Juergen

And having had race engines in my kappa, one like yours with power still climbing at 8000, and another built as a torque monster, I know which is quicker on track too Hence the building of a 2.4 set for low pickup over high revs, but with solid lifter conversion in case I need to rev out rather than change gear
