I bought my coupe on the 21st May 2005 so would have been 23. Was the best car I ever owned. Has been 6 1/2 years since I sold it and still miss it

I'm a rookie, having only bought my first coupe in March this year as a slightly early 40th birthday present.

I was 35. I had lots of good fun cars til I was 30 but had a few years in the sensible zone because of a change in job circumstances (commuting and stupid hours getting in the way). Coops got me back to car sanity.

Bought my Sprint Blue in August 2011, aged 23. Wanted a coop for a good few years but insurance was a nightmare! Had spent 3 weeks previously working in Spain & Portugal. Got home, went on t'interweb at 8pm, by 12pm the next day I was driving a coop out of London! Garage in Tottenham took it as p/ex and didn't know what it was, offered them £600 to take it out of their hands. Checked few bits, it didn't smoke, it didn't knock and the oil pressure was good. the only piece of history was a recent cambelt recipt though Originally bought as spares for another coupe I had my eye on. With 142k I figured I best have the AA on standby as it was a 250-mile journey home... 16 months & 11,000miles later it's still going strong! Upon inspection it was FAR too good to break, not a single piece of corrosion and good compression across all 5 (And the 2nd coupe still isn't here) Admittedly the only thing I've had to do to it is fit a £100 2nd-hand Turbo @ 146k and take it to the MOT Test Station... Apologies for length, probably should post in projects! John

Age 23. Wanted one for years (been around Italian cars my whole life) but never considered it a sensible choice for my lengthy commute (though im sure it would cope with it). Then discovered I could get one on a classic policy and it still puts a smile on my face every time i drive it.
