I have just purchased a new trigger button for my gizzmo ms-ibc boost controller but i seem to have complicated things a little. The old button was one the same as this with two terminals, obviously just an in-line switch. The new fancy pants button is one of these , the two pins either side are for the led ring but it has three pins for the switch and i have no idea how to wire it up blush
The loom from the ibc to the switch has three wires, earth, live and switch and the pins on the switch are normally open, normally closed and common. Any ideas (preferably a diagram!) what goes where? Also power needs to go to the switch from an ignition live from somewhere but does the switch need an earth too?
Sorry if this is in the wrong section mods but it seemed more like an electrical problem rather than a coupe specific one wink

Use the Common and N/O (Normally open).
It means that the circuit is OPEN (switch contacts open) and when button is pressed it is CLOSED (switch contacts are closed).

The other terminal is N/C or normally closed. It means the circuit is CLOSED and pressing the button breaks the circuit (opens the switch contacts)

Hope that makes sense..
look up spdt switch for a diagram.

in the above case L1 is NC, L2 is NO.

Ok, so ignore the normally closed and treat it like the original switch with the common and normally open in line on the switch wire?
