Halfords have Topeak pumps. You'll need one of the "road" ones. Other than that, Mudguards, cycling shorts, lights, overshoes, track pump, spare chain, speedo, spare tubes, puncture repair kit, decent tyres. Shame it has to be Halfrauds. Your money would go much further at Wiggle or Chainreaction or Ribble or Tredz.

The hanger costs about a tenner. £30 is about what a the mudguards would cost. If you're using it for commuting, they are well worthwhile to keep your feet and butt dry on wet roads. The Boardman used to have issues with the bottom bracket bearings not being lubricated though I think that's sorted now. Headsets sometimes work loose too. Worth checking the state (alignment) of the rim tape if you have the tyres off at any point Masses of detailed info here (in a thread I started about 1.5 years ago) http://www.bikeradar.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=40012&t=12796558

Buy a 2nd hand spare bike so your pit crew can clean your best bike when it's weight is doubled after a couple of laps.

To be fair to halfords if I have priced up everything correct with the offers available I will be getting around £300 worth of stuff for my £190 so not bad. Will see what they say later when I go into the shop to finalise the order.

What width are the tyres? 35mm refers to the width of the guard and I don't think will fit a 35mm tyre but I don't remember what size tyres the CX comes with. If you're using them for commuting, I'd swap the tyres to a road tyre (25 or 28mm) in which case the 35mm guards are perfect. A really great pump is the Topeak Road Morph. I tend to use CO2 these days and only carry a micro pump for disasters.

Yes - I'm pretty sure they do. I think I made the mistake of getting 35mm myself the first time around.

Sorry, missed this thread earlier. As another CX Team owner, I'd recommend upgrading the tyres, the originals are paper thin and after countless punctures I fitted Schwalbe Land Cruisers 700x35c, but Halfords don't have a very wide range of tyres. I've also fitted Tortec reflector mudguards, 40mm wide and they cover the tyres perfectly.
