"nine times out of ten when you lift the bonnet on this type of car, you are usually greeted with a sea of blue Samco hoses, which also usually indicate that all sorts of other "go faster" regalia had been bolted-on too"

lol , that's me but what a load of bull about - Invariably most of these little pocket rockets sadly fell into the hands of the "Max Power" brigade, and nine times out of ten when you lift the bonnet on this type of car, you are usually greeted with a sea of blue Samco hoses, which also usually indicate that all sorts of other "go faster" regalia had been bolted-on too, sadly at the cost of reliabilitydoes he know what he talking about !!!! that's why mine is still on its original engine

Seems he thinks an unmolested one is better than one that's been "played with" but I don't agree with that.
If it's been done properly by reputable garages, well maintained and properly serviced it'll be fine.

I see your point , when I went to look at coupes to buy I bought one that hadn't been touched and was totally standard but did look at a few with a few mods done but it wouldn't stop me buying a heaverly moded coupe .

I bought mine with Stage 3 hybrid setup knowing it had most of the work completed by Barbz and only within 6 months and checked it over with a fine-tooth comb with super low mileage it's spot on IMO.

Muzzie, I'm half contemplating taking a look at this and letting the wife have my vis. Do you think this looks a bit of a knacker, if it's the one you've seen?
