Question is..... Does it matter what length the pipe connecting manifold collector to Ext WG is??
Basically to best place to locate WG is about 6-8" left of the collector, that's where there is most room!

it matter smile
Maybe, you will have aboost creep (http://flatironsrally.typepad.com/faq/2007/12/what-is-boost-c.html)

also the direction of pipe going to WG matter, if you put it in opposite direction than exhaust flow is, boost creep is here smile

the best way is closer as much as you can to the manifold and in direction of exhaust gases smile

In my case, we couldn't put the pipe in gas direction 100% so i bought a Turbosmart Progate 48mm WG (big ass mthfcka) to avoid boost creep smile

The design of the collector and manifold is important, but simply the length of the pipe to the WG is not important

This is very similar to my manifold, my pipe coming from the collector will be a straight 38mm pipe instead of the curved one on this manifold, it will also be twice as long!? Hope this will be ok??

Yes, not my favourite manifold at all laugh

Trouble is, you won't know if you will have boost creep until the wastegate is on there. I still get some creep on my manifold and I'm running a 44mm wastegate.
