The idea is to bring attention to those who *have* to live on a quid or so a day, and in particular I'm hoping to support the 'Malaria - No More' charity. I feel the Malaria parasite should have the same delightful status as that of Smallpox - i.e. extinct.

More details will be on the el Reg pages over the next week; I'll link when I have them. The attempt starts on Monday 28th and ends that next Friday, and Anita will be joining me in this effort.

Oddly enough, the diet we'll probably end up eating next week is perhaps better for me than that I normally eat. No, or very little, meat though, and maybe a touch boring.

A carminative week does appear to be a possibility.

Though properly rinsing the beans after soaking helps.

Day one completed:
Breakfast (this will be the same all week) - muesli (homemade from oats, dessicated coconut, and sultanas) and toast (homemade bread, naturally).
Lunch - jam sarnie, a small apple.
Dinner - chick pea curry: peas, onion, tin of tomato, potato

Anita is eating less through the day but getting outside a tomato, some beansprouts, a small apple, and bread/toast.

Won't have a price for breakfast/lunch until the end of the week; it'll be a little less than I guesstimated. Today's dinner was £0.92 for two.
