I know a couple of jap guys running cheap turbos and for the price there fine with it, they dont spool up as fast and there not pushing the top boost levels anyway but for the price spool etc ist an issue

As good as they might be unfortunately the company name and logo does not do it any justice, looks and sounds like an inferior copy brand to me. (my opinion of course).

After year and a half from installing the turbo I can say it's pretty good. I manage to achieve 390hp with it on stock internals and the car is running like that almost a year. The turbo has no play at all, no smoke.... A friend of mine is running his 20vT with td06 25g kinugawa turbo on 540hp 2.0l drag race car and also have no problems. Another friend with td05 20g 9 blade also has no problem and running 380hp on C20LET engine. My brother bought a TD06SL2 25G for it's Nissan silvia S14 and running a 450hp on 1.3 bar of boost and again no problems. For me this turbos are great for medium users! Excellent quality on low price. Silivia Dino graph https://www.dropbox.com/s/mshbg2ijv4awc7...f2b9-V.jpg?dl=0My coupe graph https://www.dropbox.com/s/3a3vx36wdxokv8i/Scan.jpg?dl=0

So you don't like it just because it has a "Chinesee"-sounding" name? Unfortunately brand naming is key in marketing. Rumour has it Microsoft skipped Windows 9 because the Japanese consider that number unlucky and would not sell well, silly but plausible.

But you didn't get 390. Only 388 You hit max hp at 7336 rpm. At what rpm is the limiter set to?

Yaah.. sorry. Only 388 The limiter is on 8000rpm. The dyno didn't read very correct the RPM's... don't know why. Yes the max HP are on the limiter. The car needs more boost but I am keeping this level becouse of the stock internals. I am planing to install a big valve head soon and will make another test on same preassure. I gues will hit 420hp

Joro, did you balance the engine before you changed the limiter? Who remapped your engine? Hi, yes. The Engine was filly rebuild. The map is made from a local tuning shop ( Madness Motorsport ). They mapped all of my Friends 20VT's and everyone are pretty satisfied. Here is one pull from 0-200km/h with awful start and diesel gearbox ( little out of engine efficiency in 3th gear) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XYpjo1WQHU4

Do you have a graph with boost pressure (bar) and lambda?

May be the most powerful 2.0 litre 20v turbo! No as Barbz made 520hp 440trq on his 2.0 litre 20v turbo

It's all I have for now. The late spool is not a problem, because the car is made only for a drag event's. It's not a daily car. The guy bought colombo&barini fast road camshaft but will install them next drag season. I think they will help a little for a faster spool.

Does Kinugawa, Mamba or any other reliable turbo manufacturer have any type of Turbo that I could swap with my stock T3 Garrett? Performance wise I am after equal amount of power and boost as the stock unit. If better, that's great, but I don't want to mount a FMIC or do major mods.
What type of Garrett could I mount instead of the T3 and has the above specs?
Any suggestions?
Thanks!
