Get these started again.

Will it rain, given that it hasn't stopped since May!

Will be in the Club Silverstone stand with the kids. Hope it's warm because it's Baltic in there if a cold wind blows through.

Looking forward to the continuing Merc battle - will there be revenge booing from the British crowd? I hope not.

Just watched fantastic in car footage with Vettel driving. The best I have ever seen, really showing what the driver is going through.

I'm here with kids and friends. Chilly breeze in stands but Mercs look untouchable already

I understand about track limits but why is it only on certain corners?
Surely if your off the track on any corner you have exceeded the track limits.

It's really where it's seen as an advantage. Running wide in some corners - especially where you're getting on the power, isn't much of an advantage whereas corners like Copse it's about carrying speed and is a real advantage.

Well the Heliport is sweltering. Well done to the pole sitter was a great drive.

It needs to be made clearer, The same for a handball in football, 'intentional' or 'ball to hand'. If the ball touches the hand 'handball' if you exceed the track limits '5 second penalty'.

Rant over.

The Typhoon was pretty impressive - making some "un-natural" looking turns.

It might be sweltering on the helipad but the grandstands are well-ventilated - people arriving in t-shirts soon look frozen

Should stick the gravel traps back in...that'll stop 'em

There are plenty of gravel traps - just not on the edge. Probably contributes to the almost total lack of red flags or safety cars - and it's the same for all drivers. They're very clear about where track limits will be enforced too so that the drivers know where they will be punished. I'm not at all bothered by it.

Rain on and off and a fair bit of wind too. Hopefully make the race unpredictable

Decent race with some great skills on show. Only disappointment was the knuckle-daggers booing Rosberg on the podium. Thought Webber and Hamilton handled it well (and Rosberg too, for that matter).

I'm afraid that I went to sleep shortly after Rosberg overtook Verstappen for second place and woke up just before the booing started.

The part I did see, as the track was drying was interesting with some great catches.

I unplugged a row of electric cars that nobody was using.
I even unplugged my own.

Yes - it was fairly processional, but it was worth watching the entire race, just to see Max drive round the outside of Nico

The moths all seem to have twitter accounts too!

Boring race, safety car should have been in 3 laps earlier, some good catches and not in turn 1.

Maxs overtake was brilliant

I don't actually think the time that the safety car was out was either too long nor did it make much difference to the race. I'd prefer that they were a little conservative than have incidents with cars going missing and yet more safety car laps whilst they sort the mess.

In a more general point, I'm not sure how someone sat at home watching on TV can make a judgement. The safety car driver, for starters, is actually out in track and is massively experienced.

Where we were at Becketts still had lots of standing water - it's also an incredibly fast corner.

I must admit I am warming to Hamilton this season, he seams a lot more relaxed this year and more grown up (aware that is a bit patronising, Leadsom would understand laugh )

I though Lewis was going to shunt the pace car. Very close thing. He said he was adjusting his brake bias as the back's were cold and realised he had very little bite.

All done I think it was a fair GP.

The drivers were buzzing about the Silverstone atmosphere, goes to show how good and healthy the sport is in the uk.

Good question, how did you know on your sofa that it wasn't appropriate?

I gave my point of view, I'd rather have seen the drivers try hard that drive round behind the safety car. They've run free in worse conditions. Please don't patronise me, I'm sick of reading patronising comments. You could have made your point without coming across it such a way.

I can't even try to imagine what it must be like to control an F1 car in the wet.
Last year I went very very light on track at over 100mph in the wet. It got my attention very quick.

Exactly - I drove at Snetterton in a very wet race earlier this year - the car snapped sideways on the straight just changing into a high gear. I only have 185bhp. A mate of mine pretty much totalled his car at Goodwood on the straight in similar conditions.

A wasn't on my sofa I was sat beside the track looking at lots of standing water having walked through tipping rain to get to my seat. I've raced quite a few times in similar weather - the last lap at Snetterton (on a drying track) there were 7 cars off the track. That's first-hand experience.

I wasn't patronising you. I just gave my point of view. I've read it again and still don't see it as patronising. I'm sorry if you see it that way.
