Unfortunately my sills require attention as well. Rust has appeared near the kick plates both sides. My Coupe is getting attention as we speak and I’ll pick it up later today. My painter has told me it will need new sills in the not too distant future, I’m having a quick job done at the moment. My wife is quite annoyed at the money I’m spending on the car at the moment, she hasn’t minded in the past but hey ho.

Thing is we are very open about money everything goes into one pot. When I was working I could squirrel away money here and there on expenses etc, but any money now shows up on her phone. She did pay for the refurbishment of the Coupe working full time for a couple of years, then part time, now she has retired a couple of weeks ago. I just feel guilty sometimes.

Thought you had spent a shed load on a resto Jim no wonder the missus is peeved......these cars do require constant attention to keep them tip top. Mine is still good paint wise as I have had the roof, bonnet etc done and it has the boot floor seam done and a few other bits like new wings.....I was going to bite the bullet and throw a load at it to get it assessed and then made mint; I have come to the conclusion that I won't now be doing that, the Coupe lives outside and always has and does about 1500miles max a year, I have decided I will attend to the bits that crop up then as and when such time as it needs the £££ big work I have rationalised that as I have already had 18 yrs out of her....she will go. It will be my decision and thankfully not linked into ULEZ and other such political shite.

Any way to easily inspect the area below the side mounted Pininfarina badges? I have no idea if anything is bad inside there, but i can see the badges are not sticking well lol, so im worried.
. Remove the rear 3/4 panels. (Interior!)

yes. coupe ownership is a hefty one. takes its toll. my plus is my dailey which is the best way to keep them really cars dont do well just sat and left after some time. ill do whatever it takes for my baby. i dont "need" to change my 02 sensor, cts and thermostat, radiator or the pcv valve on the inlet manifold but its all future proofing. my clutch pedal went a day before the mot, just the pedal, it took 2 mechanics an entire day to change the clutch master and slave, it was a nasty kick in the nuts with the bill for 513 quid mot...didnt anything doing expect emissions "cheating"....running a 3 inch decat and stage 3 hybrid, not to mention the 200 quid the week before for the service, or the 100 and something the week before that! for rocker gasket, plug and oil change only had it since march

Okay, will be a task for when the car is going to be stored for the winter. I need to make sure these are OK and find a way to make sure no water gets in there at the badges on the side. Car just had a repair at the front side fender since water leaked down and made it rust from the inside, previous owner fixed this and its been quite the work. I need some respray done due to this and might as well find all area's that could need sorting and get them fixed prior to this, not sure if its going to just need a full outside only respray in the end. But as someone else mentions in this post, with current world situation its hard to justify spending like 2k on a respray. Just need to make sure the car is not rotting away somewhere. Any way to easily inspect the area below the side mounted Pininfarina badges? I have no idea if anything is bad inside there, but i can see the badges are not sticking well lol, so im worried.
