not to mention they seem to struggle with a simple yes or no question, as in, does the 20vt coupe hate certain things such as NON BOSCH made parts like idle control valves or airflow meters?

no, people have no interest, love for the coupe or courtesy anymore. Best I can see you've had replies to most of the dozen posts you've made. The entire scene has moved on in the last couple of years. Many of the cars aren't the daily drivers they once were. And of the few cars left the owners generally are preserving the value of their cars best they can. This often involves bills into thousands. And when you're spending that money you're not going to be changing oils and servicing yourself. So sadly there isn't going to be somebody on here waiting to answer questions as owners capable of doing that are far less these days

Mooney, considering the courtesy and welcome you were given upon your entry to the forum your observations are rather less than that. I also wrote to you personally to aid the passage and locations of your questions which you had duplicated in different sections. You are right, this is not FaceBook and doesn't pretend to be - however the enthusiasm for Fiat Coupés is no less than your own. It's just that there are not necessarily people on here all the time, especially being a relatively modestly-sized Club.

so i signed on here thinking thered be more activity and responses from knowledgeable people about coupes yet its a dead as a dodo and at this moment in time i think i wasted my time it took just to sign up to this. its not like im asking complicated questions here. You probably took about 2 minutes of your time to register and sign up on here and the amount of knowledge on here is vast, so stop being so ungrateful to those that have spent their vast amount of time and knowledge over the years to make this the forum it is. It's 'as dead as a dodo' as many people don't need to post questions due to the using the search engine and and finding answers to questions that have already been asked. If your 2 minute sign up time is so important, then I suggest you value the 2 minutes or more it takes people to take time out of their life to respond to you and/or your questions. Jeez!

There's approx 660 coupes now left on the road and about a third are paid up forum members. This is a niche club by any standard so it's unsurprising it's not a hive of activity that some may expect.

Indeed, you could say a grown up car for a grown up driver.

If you are after high octane tuning stories and thrills you may be disappointed. We all did that 20 years ago and now the discerning coupe owner is looking more at originality and longevity (mostly, many are still in a high state of tune)
Hopefully the adventures I intend to take mine on when it's 'complete' will tick the high octane stories box!
F****** b****** thing...
