Afternoon all,
Seriously toying with the idea of getting a Coupe.
Wondering if anyone know's what the mpg figures are for the Coupe range.
Many thanks

Are those all from 20vt's?
Would probably before after a non-turbo.

I use my 20VT as my sole transport so it gets a mixed bag of use, and I've done 2 consumption checks since I got it 5 months ago, both showing 23mpg.

I just got 265 miles from 50l of unleaded All urban driving, barely over 40mph at all...that's 24mpg and it'll be even worse once the schools go back I so need my punto back soon And this 63 litre tank...is the 20v n/a smaller? I only managed to get 50 litres in the other day and the orange light was coming on intermittently

You can get a good few miles out of it from when the light flashes

Yes, but mine's a 97 with 82k on the clock, don't want all the junk at the bottom of the tank swilling around the engine

For what it's worth, the 16v NA is easily capable of 33mpg in mixed motorway/town commuting; up to about 38mpg on 70mph cruise. I fill up regular at 360 miles, whether it needs it or not, usually gets around 50 litres (11 gallons). Neil

Thanks for all the replies. As much as I'd like a turbo, NA may be more suitable for me. Do about 40 miles a day, mainly motorway. Retired from trackdays/santapod so am never in any real rush to warrant a fast car. Just pricing up a set up deep dish rims for when I find a car

In that case, you won't be wanting a 20VT - there's no way that ANY deep recessed rims will fit over the brembo calipers

I`m getting around 30/31 mpg with mine, which is slightly better than i got with my old 16vna. I usually fill up at around 200 miles which is just above half a tank. I like to make sure i`ve got plenty of fuel on board in case of any major detours (which can happen in my area ). Baz

Just dont bounce it off the limiter like you used to do with the Sei!!!
I prefer to call it power shifting I was only young

Surprised your asking this after the random purchase of the Jag not so long ago
It seemed a good idea ..... until I realised it was doing 19mpg on a slow motorway run and about half that if I was in "sports" mode

Drive to work every day in the city uning my 20VT - average 20 - 23 mpg, depending on traffic. On a long trip the average is 35 - 36 mpg.

I found tyre pressure makes a lot of difference fuel economy. I had recently swapped the wheels front to back on the Coupe, and forgot to reset the pressures when doing so. So ended up running front pressure (higher) on the back and rear pressure (lower) on the front for about a week before I notice how high fuel consumption had become. So it's well worth checking your tyres in case that's the reason your economy is poor.

I'm very sad and always work out my mpg (even if to see how low I can get it).
In a year of mostly open road driving over 6k miles, but including 2 track days, my 16vt averaged 29 mpg. If you drive in town or race people, well......not so much. About 11 or less at a track day....

Just to confuse things, I get 24mpg on LPG on the daily motorway run (at sensible speeds).
On the other hand, I know that you can expect to be 15% down on LPG anyway, and that things are likely to improve once I replace my slightly dodgy wheel bearings.
