Mine doesn't knock at all if that helps.
I know Barbz was developing an alternative to the other engine mount that has a lot of flex (I'm on about my 3rd) - think he might have one fitted to his car for testing.

I have both uprated mounts from Barbz. On is a machined piece of aluminium that is inserted inside the rubber bush on the top mount. The other is a uprated polyurethane bush with machined metal inside this is the lower mount on the same side. This is to stop the engine hitting the drive shafts or hitting the subframe can't remember exactly. Both quality are outstanding and should last longer than the car <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I've made the top mount out of S/Steel it has stopped the knocking noises I uesd to get. OE design is poor and should of beeen a poly bush rather than rubber.
