On my commute to work (21 miles each way), I am getting 380 miles out of a tank, 31mpg.

Does this mean I am driving too slowly?

confused

Mods?? Well, I cleaned it!!

Totally standard, somehow the thought of modding a 80,000 mile, 8 year old car just seems to scare me (and my wallet!)

keep it that way - its a very slippery slope

I'm still modding a 9 year old 171,000 mile car and I keep finding new things to do to it (forged rods in a couple of weeks, HIDs next week)

31mpg is very good

That seems good for a turbo car. How many motorway miles are in your commute?

It's about 8 miles on a usually deserted dual carriageway, a mile through a town, the rest is NSL single carriageway.

I guess I am just too old to hoon around at 3 figures now!

380 miles is good, I'd be happy with that.

I manage around 28MPG on my daily commute but that goes down a bit if I “hoon” around at the weekend (love that hoon word laugh )

On two occasions I have managed over 500 miles to the tank at 40mpg shocked And that is without a 6th gear. Had the cruise control stuck in wife mode smile
