Fed up of my dirty engine bay being shown up by Jap, I have cleaned her up in readiness for the forthcoming Midlands meet. \:D

Nice.

After mine comes back, I want to do a decent tart up myself. It'll be the last thing to do, pretty much.

Any good tips with what to use/ how to do it?

Cheers, Hedge

Well the cam cover I stripped with paint stripper & resprayed with engine paint (no primer required) - got this off Ebay

As for cleaning I used (spray) engine cleaner, wet rags and a 3" brush - not too much chucking water about though !

Autoglym rubber care is very good for the black plastic /rubber bits & I finshed it off with loads of interior (silicon) spray to get a good shine.

Autoglym engine cleaner is what I use. Very easy to use and remove and great results.

Fook me thats clean, you should get a new coolant header tank from Fiat and get some lovely red coolant in it. Thats what I did, the tank was only about 20 quid IIRC and came in a couple of days.
