Since my clutch has expired, I've been putting a lot of thought into breaking my car. I know people may not be too forthcoming in telling me how much they made when they broke a car, however I have a genuine interest (feel free to PM me if you on't want to reveal on here)

Ok clutch is dead on mine, £480 Job to do, car worth £1800 at the end, probably more like £1600. So effectivly, £1100 - £1300 without a clutch. So, my thinking:
Engine £500 (110000 miles Holds 2.6 bar warm idle)
Uncracked Manifold £100
Refurbed Turbo (8000 miles / 6 months) £250
Wheels £200
Interior £150
Gearbox £50
Exhaust £50
Brembo's £80
Other odds and sods £300
So to me thats £1600, in other words I'd be best off breaking it.
What do you reckon? Shall I keep it, take the hit for the clutch, and just drive it into the ground?
Ben
PS My reasons for considering breaking it is I have spent £3000 on maintenance and repairing faults, and £3300 on the initial purchase. Thats £6300 over 19 Months of Ownership
