I know there are lots of Ebay IC options, however having a quick browse just stumbled across this one which looks very cheap...
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FIAT-COUPE-FRONT-MOUNTED-TURBO-INTERCOOLER-2-0-turbo_W0QQitemZ250426399251QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item250426399251&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66%3A2%7C65%3A10%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318%7C301%3A0%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50
Anyone had experience/views?
No mention of the type it is however bar & plate etc - can you tell from the picture what type it is?
Coupe now sold!

rubbish IMO never gonna be the build quality of Pro Alloy or pace. plus once youve bought all tubing hoses would work out bout same price as 2nd hand pro ally one.

Thts is just an intercooler sitting in behind the bumper, its not even fitted.
Its just to try and shift more of these chinese/bay things.
Also its just for an intercooler, its not a kit with piping,so be aware of that.
You will have to cut and modify the car,as with all ebay coupe kits, like that turborevs muck.

wouldnt say the turbo revs fmic is muck,it's a quality made item, not a straight fit !! but not hard to mod area and does the same job as pro and pace

That's my one on my car!! I said they could use the pic by the way (I should get Royalties!). It's a universal intercooler so you've got to make it fit, just like nearly every other i/c. None of them fit with absolutely no mods. I reviewed it on my project page: http://www.fiatcoupeclub.org/forum/...p;Words=kj16v&Search=true#Post833278

That looks similar to what was on my car when I got it (and still is). I don't have any pics with out the bumper on of how it is fitted now but it uses less pipe work now. It seams to work OK but I'm running 1.1 is of boost. edit1: close up edit2: My one is ~2.5"ID IIRC at least the hard pipes are that are left.

I also use these "chinese intercoolers" and they are wery good ( not the same as pics.. ) the little chinese hands can make some good stuff also, remember, that they have learned all the time more and more will I ever buy here +300 intercooler, or will I use same or more effective chinese one, that costs me only 30% ? hmm

some of the real "tuners" here have tested these 60 x 30 china coolers against Finnish made ones.. and results have been same, or even better flow with chinese. so many factory use these days chinaforce so you really cant always tell, where does really your part is made.. I have smaller one, and figures from street are more interesting to me.. and have read, that temperature is low ( intake I mean )

the main reason for the Finnish intercooler ( one seller at least ) was that the pipe was too fat, so it could not release the heat fast enough, so temperatures get higher .. ( pipe inside the cooler ) there are temperature tests also, with chinacoolers.. after 5 speed test ( 100-190kmh ) outside temperature 4 and after fifth run, intake temperature 13,5 celsius..

After (Pro Alloy FMIC) Ambient temperature – 15.3 degrees Boost Pressure before I/C – 0.85 bar @ 6000rpm Outlet temperature – 29 degrees Boost Pressure after I/C – 0.8 bar Diff with PA: 29 - 15.3 = 13.7 degrees I have seen similar figure on my widget when I was on the track. The ambient temp was 20 degrees and intake temp was 35 degrees. So almost the same as above.

This is a great site but one of the few things that annoys me is that there seems to be too many people on here who state their unqualified opinion or hearsay and make it out as fact.
Some of the posts on this thread are a good example; someone asked a very good question "Is it any good?" Suddenly certain people jump in running their mouths off about "this is crap, buy this instead. Do what I say." Do they have any figures to back up their statements? No. Have they even tried one? Probably not. Turns out the people who have actually tried these particular items like them.
If you’ve got an opinion on something then fine, say it’s your opinion. If you’ve got personal experience of something and have numbers to prove it then even better. But what’s the point in regurgitating what you heard off a mates mate on some forum somewhere and shouting off like you know what you’re talking about? It doesn’t help anyone. Hey interesting points of view dude, but I think people on the forum might be judging the country of origin’s reputation on its total list of products that they most probably have had experience with , ranging from cancer and burning incurring sofas, poison food, toxic pet food, Mickey mouse engineering products, TV and video that self destructs, clothing that has irreversible affects on the skin, tools that last as long as you don’t use them, car audio that melts, and light bulbs that whistle Dixie before exploding etc etc etc the list is endless, so please excuse my good friends/fellow fccuk members from not being over elated with yet another Chinese product, But hey good luck with your intercooler

weather +4dec C before first run 11C (7 over the main temperature) 1 10.4 2 12.8 3 14.5 4 16.1 5 17.5, so with 50 cm x 30cm china cooler 13.5 over
the main temperature after these 5 runs ! not too bad for a cheap crap ! runs were on this test 80kmh - 140kmh with 1.45 - 1.6bar

I think it looks ok. Certainly fits into the airintake better than Evo, Pace or Proalloy. Kj16V, Where did you find it for £50..?
