I'm not sure if this is going to put people off coming to this meet, but, IF England win their group, they are scheduled to play on the 25th at 4pm. I'm talking about the Football World Cup in case people were wondering

Won't put me off - I'll have to be away about 2pm anyway. If a few people scuttle off earlier to watch the match then so be it.

If it's still a goer I'm still up for it - meeting a few others at Bassetts Pole first hopefully like last year.

Oh! No! Sounds like bad news? Is this meet still going on or would it be better to re-schedule taking onboard the fact that England WILL be playing?

Hopefully okay for this now, for at least part of the day anyhow. Probably with my 8 yr old in tow- he's dead excited about seeing a load of cool coops.

Due to a huge change in my personal circumstances I won't be able to carry on with organising this and won't be able to attend either.
Hopefully someone can takeover the planning and make sure the meet goes ahead.
Have a great day.
Hope everything is ok Ian

Is this still on - its all gone very quiet.
10.30am Star Car park. Will I be there all by myself?
I know England have a match at 4.00 but we can all be back home / down the pub by then.
Come on! Who's in?

OK, so how about a meet up at 11.00am in Starcity car park (hopefully that time suits Wackers and ajg) an then at about 11.30 or 12 a blast upto the Cock in at Wishaw (the most excellent put we went to last year).
I know the way from Starcity to the pub and would be happy to lead. Any latecomers could just meet us at the pub.
Sound good?

What time at The Pole then jap?
I'll have to be away about half one, twoish as I need to be in Wimbledon by about half four, though the fact the match is on will hopefully mean less traffic.

James, sounds good- would like to come to the pub but i'll have to see how bored my son is getting ( and how child friendly the pub is). He's looking forward to seeing some cool cars though.

First a show's'shine at the popular, modern Star City. A chance to bask in the early summer sunshine and admire a feast of the most wonderful cars ever put on this planet! Some bonnet-up action should inspire some friendly and mutually-rewarding banter about all manner of auto related matters. Who HAS got the shiniest rocker cover??
We will then fire up our 5-cylinder, turbocharged beauties and convoy out into the rolling [cough]West Midlands[/cough] countryside!
After enjoying the siren-song of a pack of tuned Italian coupes thundering through the open countryside we will cruise into the delightful Cock Inn at Wishaw. A wonderful, modern pub that is often the venue for the rich and/or famous to show off their cars. Porsches, Ferraris and other wonderful cars are often seen frequenting the pleasures of the free house.
...and so on.
It really was a great day last rear and the drive/pub are lovely - the drive could also be extended to take in some of Birmingham's best tunnels for true exhaust appreciation!
We can then all collapse into our leather armchairs and enjoy an overpriced Coke or two at the Cock.
So come on!
