my first coupe was a little red NA VIS

totally besotted by its looks - exhaust note and pure smiles per gallon. cool

Then some Southern Octagenarian mashed me up between his 40ft of metal (AKA caravan and Signum combo) and the central reservation grr

and so i bought it back and it sat unloved in the open air with nish to protect it - save the occasional wash and wipe - within 3 weeks of said accident and return the clutch went...so it sat for ALL that time...
I could hardly look at it and due to pressures setting up a business could never justify any spend...
It sat and sat until 6 weeks ago - i bought a battery and threw it in her,,

Started first time. shocked

Then i realised the rad was knackered adn a few other bits...

After a total of £460 inc parts and labour she now has new rad - clutch - brakes - fresh MOT - new cables and other bits and bobs...

when i tot it all up im guesing its seen the guts of £1000 including VIC checks - maintainance to date and purchasing a few add ons tongue
New interior (2nd hand from a 2000 vt)
vt alloys wnich im debating whether to go with or leave the standard NAs (Personally i think the smaller wheel makes the ride more entertaining and lively...)

So thats before the body work which it will need a fair wee bit off...i dont need it to be MINT MINT - just pretty good - so got a few prices which im happy with (Finish this before August)

i didnt get rid of it although my head told me to..and to be honest im really really glad i didnt - reminds me of exactly why i bought a coupe in the first place...

Truth be told i prefer it to my Plus.
So if the work is carried out to the necessary standard -i've already got a buyer waiting to snap my Plus of me this summer... frown

so my driveway is taking shape again

i wouldnt have bothered me a$$ to save it had this forum not been here - with all the advice and pointers - and folk like CountyCruising (Cheers for your advice Joe)

So yeah just a genuine big BIG thanks to you bunch of FCCUKERS... smile

im a happy camper.

Good for you cjh.I remember this car at the warwick meet at the saxon mill.

I really like the n/a coupes, they feel alittle more planted than the turbo and im confident i could drive one harder than the turbo.(fear of something breaking i think)

Another warwick meet i think then, bring the old girl home.
