It's more of a stubborn stain tbh, it grates on me everyday, sometimes I can't even sleep for thinking about it . . .

Back into retirement, for now at least . . . Broomy will come out to play next year smile

I'm not sure why I hadn't thought of that confused don't suppose they cost much from fiat if you can still get them.

My work in progress...

Rocker cover fitted today (thanks Fran). Still got to clean the expansion tank and paint or polish the exhaust heat shield. The slam panel also needs stripping, rust proofing and re-painting.

The horn bracket on mine was really rusty, so I attacked it with a wire brush attachment in my electric drill for starters, then left it fully sumerged in 'rusteater' for 24 hours, before brushing again, then painting with several coats of Hammerite smooth black. The horns are a cheat. Pair of red top snail horns from eBay for less than a tenner. Job done! smile

Does the laquer not bubble once it's gotten hot? I did a rocker cover a few years ago and it looked great until I fitted it and warmed up the engine. Then loads of little bubbles appeared in the laquer.

It shouldn't if you use VHT lacquer!

Joe, this rocker was sprayed with Halfords Lacquer over VHT, as I have with a few others. No issues with bubbling at all.

you need to give it a dusting of etch primer and use a vht paint otherwise it will bubble .
