Went from a Tessa to a PIP ( Personal Investment Trust ). Typical return past 7 years is a average of 14% year on year on low and medium risk stocks and shares.

If you want practically zero risk with lower values consider TSB current account, 5% on up to £2k, plus 5% on monthly saver, max in is £250 p/m.
